Classically used as promotional material when marketing fragranced products such as perfumes, air fresheners or similar fragranced labels are more commonly referred to as ‘scratch n sniff’ labels.

The fragrance is embedded into the surface of the label and sealed by a coating for protection and concealment. When pressure is applied to the label, usually by finger, the seal is broken and the fragrance is released affording the user a ‘sample smell’ of the product being promoted.
